If you have trouble getting a table, sidle up to the bar and order a caipirinha. It gets busy on Friday and Saturday nights so reservations are recommended. The restaurant is on the pricey side - entrees cost $24 to $74 - but the huge portions easily feed two people. If you have a sweet tooth, get the pavê de amendoim, a peanut tiramisu that layers creamy and sweet peanut custard on a bed of ladyfingers. (Capixaba means "hard working people" in the local Native American language.) On Saturdays, Moqueca serves feijoada, a pork and bean stew. The paella capixaba, which combines your choice of shrimp, octopus and other seafood, is delicious. Get it with a side of plantains and farofa (toasted yucca flour). I'm a fan of the shrimp stew (bobo de camarão), cooked in coconut milk with fresh tomatoes, cilantro and onions. Seasoned with onions, tomatoes, garlic, cilantro, malagueta peppers and urucum (a native condiment high in protein that gives the dish its reddish/orange color), moqueca is cooked slowly and then served in a terracotta casserole dish with white rice and pirao, a sauce made by adding yucca flour to the broth. You will leave satisfied.Located in a mini-mall off of busy Thousand Oaks Blvd., Moqueca (pronounced "moo-kek-ah") takes its name from a a saltwater fish stew that originates in Espírito Santo, a state in southeastern Brazil. The buffet offers a large variety of starters and the meats are spectacular! The server made sure to tell us we could take a break. User ( 02:01) I just simply love this place great food and great service outside seating everything perfect User ( 04:29) Five stars all the way. man that stuff is great! And also all of the staff here is incredibly nice and attentive. From the meats, to the buffet, to the pan de queso. Then was told I need reservation, they are completely booked. Kept us waiting kept getting looks by rude ass hostess, probably since I was in a flannel instead of a suit this time.

Went for dinner with my 6 year old daughter. User ( 10:26) Was a regular here, never going back. They're clothed but scantily like show girls and doin their thang lol. On Friday, they have girls dancing which I don't care about but some may find it fun. Love their patio area outside and it IS part of the happy hour. I have since found a sancharita, no salt, no jalapeno and that works for me. The only complaint is that they don't have rum on the happy hour menu but the food is so good, I don't hold it against them. they have my 1/2 main lobster tail for $12 wasabi ginger steak and chili lime chicken. User ( 13:10) My #1 favorite place for Happy hour. Everyone who works there is very nice and knowledgeable. The management needs to realize what is lacking, SERVICE!!! User ( 23:15) This is my absolute favorite restaurant for brunch, happy hour and dinner.

There arent a lot of places in the valley, people should be waiting to get in to this place. Ive always wondered why a nice place with good food is not packed with people. When the waiter finally came, he asked if we were ready to order food. 12 minutes later the busboy came over with water and was kind enough to take our order or cocktails to the bar himself. After finally getting settled, the bar waiter just kept passing in front of us not even acknowledging us. Finally the manager comes over to help clean it himself. Had to ask a few times to get a table cleaned up to be seated. User ( 09:31) Terrible service from the bar.

All you can eat option can be a little expensive but it is the best the money. Meats were excellent and chefs were quick to the table with something new. Inside is well decorated and service is very good. Big salad bar too with many options including artisan cheeses. User ( 13:59) Trendy brazilian steakhouse with all you can eat and great bar. The samba dancers were great to watch as well. The salad bar offers a wide variety of appetizers, salads, and even sushi. The staff was attentive and the servers came constantly to offer a good variety of bbq meat. User ( 02:20) One of my most favorite places to eat.it's quaint, cozy and the greatest food and atmosphere.love love love the staff User ( 12:39) Never had Brazilian BBQ so decided to give it a try. User ( 03:21) Very nice employees! Great up beat ambiance. Great great great flavors! Clue: bring your appetite! You'll need it. Prefer the "gaucho" cooking method providing food cooked mostly in it's own juices. User ( 04:34) Upscale Brazilian Restaurant.
